About the book
In 2018, we lost our son, CJ. He was such a sweet boy who grew into the most amazing young man. CJ was with us for a very short time, but he left his mark on those who knew him. This book is full of a mother's memory of some of the stories he left behind. The joy he spread, the lives he touched, the places he explored. His story doesn't end with his death, but continues on. His spirit still touches those who look for him. Stories of a son guiding his mother on her grief journey are told here. Hopefully the telling of the story will help others who are on a grief journey of their own.

CJ, I don’t even know what to say. You were a brother to me. You are family. As a society we strive to surround ourselves with genuine selfless people who make you a better version of yourself. You did that for everyone who ever crossed your path without ever asking for or accepting anything in return The world needs more people like you people who aren’t afraid to be a leader as one of the people that looked up to you most I’ll never forget the lessons you’ve taught me. I’ll do everything I can to make you proud and live life the right way rest easy, brother

CJ, you had a heart of gold. You were the most genuine and selfless person I’ve ever met from letting us use your car and giving a bunch of 15 and 16 year-old girls driving lessons in empty parking lots to always welcoming us with open arms and ensuring we felt like we were at home. You truly were the most kind person . You marched to the beat of your own drum, especially when it came to fashion sense and what you like to wear even if we teased you for it. Shirt with scarf attached you still wore it with a smile thank you for your unconditional friendship over the years and creating a bond between so many of us you are so loved and will be missed forever. rest easy Ceej.
